Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect
DocScanProX is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect your documents, require account registration, or store personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) on our servers.
The app processes the following data types, but only on your device:
- Camera images — used to detect page edges and capture your scans; never uploaded to a server by us.
- Scanned documents, PDFs, and exported images — stored locally in the app's storage on your device.
- Recognized text (OCR) — generated on-device from your scans and kept on your device.
- Signatures you draw and save — stored locally so you can reuse them.
- Anonymous technical diagnostic data (e.g., crash reports) if you opt in to share via the App Store.
2. Device permissions
DocScanProX may request the following permissions to work fully:
- Camera — required to scan documents and ID cards.
- Photo library — optional, to import existing photos as scans or to save exported files.
- Face ID / Touch ID — optional, only used locally to unlock the app if you enable App Lock.
- Files — optional, when you choose to import or export documents.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
3. How we use data
All scanning, image enhancement, OCR, and PDF processing runs locally so results appear instantly. We do not use your documents for advertising, behavioral analytics, or model training, and we do not sell them to any third party.
4. Third parties, ads & subscriptions
The free version of DocScanProX may display advertisements. Ad and analytics providers may process limited technical identifiers (such as an advertising identifier or device/OS type) to serve and measure ads — they never receive the contents of your scans. Following iOS App Tracking Transparency, personalized advertising is used only if you allow it.
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details; we only receive the purchase status needed to unlock Premium features.
When you share a document from the app (Mail, Messages, Files, a cloud drive, and so on), that file is handled by the destination app or service under its own privacy policy.
5. Data storage & security
Your scans, PDFs, and signatures are stored locally on your device using standard iOS security mechanisms. If you enable App Lock, the app also requires Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to open. If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently erased from your device — so export or back up anything you want to keep first.
6. Children's privacy
DocScanProX is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Your rights
Because DocScanProX does not store your documents on any server, you have full control over your data: delete individual documents in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
